About This Experience

A full day rather than a half: an early pickup, a run down to Thong Krut Pier, and then two islands with enough time at each that neither feels rushed. Koh Madsum — Pig Island — comes first, which matters, because the pigs are at their most active before the midday heat and the beach is quieter before the half-day boats arrive.

Koh Tan is the second island and the longer stop. The reef here is the reason the trip exists: shallow, close to shore and busy with reef fish. Lunch is served on the island, and the afternoon is deliberately unstructured — swim, snorkel, or do nothing on a beach with almost nobody on it.

The operator is GSTC-certified and runs the trip on glass bottles rather than single-use plastic, with carbon offsetting on every departure. That is not a detail most Samui boat trips can claim, and it is the reason this one costs a little more than the shortest options.

Good to Know & Caveats

• Roughly 4–5 of the seven hours are spent on or around the boat.
• The pigs on Koh Madsum are semi-wild and roam freely — they are not a petting attraction.
• Sea conditions can shorten or reorder the itinerary; the operator offers a full refund or a reschedule when weather forces a cancellation.
• Golf-cart transport on the island is very limited, so expect to walk between the beach and the boat.
